Review of High School of the Dead

Highschool of the Dead review Boobs that defy the laws of physics, matrix boobs. Story 1/10 What can I say about the story in this anime is one simple truth: The girls boobs had more screen time than the main characters. This is a zombie genre anime where a deadly virus turns everybody into living corpses who walk.The idea and concept is good the only problem are the characters and how the story was executed. The execution is more of a hentai anime instead of a horror -post -apocalyptic anime with matrix boobs.The logic this anime abords is also insane and exaggerated on the human body capabilities .I will explain now everything.

First this is your standard fare zombie story that you've seen countless of times before. The only difference being the abundance of tits and panty shots thrown at you every 5 seconds.You're not sure if the show is trying to give you an adrenaline rush or a fucking boner. After a point you forget you were watching a zombie flick as it steadily becomes a harem. It's hard to build tension when hoards of zombies are eating someone while the camera focuses on the boobs bouncing story. Don't get me wrong, fanservice is nice if it serves a purpose or doesn't take away from the show's overall experience. For example monogatari series is a abundance with fanservice but that fanservice has a purpose and meaning for the characters and the influence they have over the story. In Hotd is used as a stereotype to attract the viewers and make them hard.

Second let’s take a look at the characters actions and reactions faced with a crisis situation. Most of us will be afraid if something like a zombie apocalypse will happen in a split of seconds in our school. But look at the main character everything for him is natural, he fights zombies like he trained in a military facility and his purpose is to save mankind. Yeah well this is bullshit thrown in the face of the viewer.
Also why do I need to see the ass and panty shots of the girls when fighting the zombies? It’s more confusing and gives the anime a tone of ridiculousness and the plot a simple-minded impression.

Third is about the story and its progression it’s awfull and has no conclusion at all, the events that happen across the story are chaotic and the characters have a 180* personality change. Lets take a example to justify what I said, Rei a girl who is whining about her boyfriend who died , and then when she meets Takashi she finds out that she really wanted to get rid of her boyfriend(to be killed by zombies) and falls for Takashi and wants him to make love to her. Are you serious? Where was the shock value that the anime wanted to give to the characters if she can take a 180* turn in her personality……

Another character Boobs McKenzy tells them that she cannot drive the bus over a small group of zombies because it would flip the bus. Then, as soon as the plot calls for it, she hits the gas, runs over about 30 zombies, then plows through a METAL GATE and drives down the road like nothing is wrong.All we need is a 80’s song on the background to make her character look more badass.

Finally we have the zombies ladies and gentlemen who are used as plot devices all show long, and we have no explication how they are so smart and can find the characters where they are hiding. The show only gives us a stupid reason that they are attracted to sound but that is contradicted by the characters actions from this anime. The scene were Takashi walks through a crowd of zombies and the suspense is high but some other characters make a pipe sound and the zombies start reacting , but wait the screaming from the chased girl doesn’t alert them …anime logic…..Fine this justifies the explication but now lets take another scene where they leave a empty building and go into the yard and then the zombies start coming in rows on the stairs. Takashi declares that the zombies are attracted to the sound of the leaves from his logic but the sound they made with their steps nobody takes that in account.Why did they left the building? Because the katana killer psychopath is now used as a plot device for the story. Of course she kills all zombies and then she declares she is wet . What a shitty( no hate just a fact) scene and useless killing to captivate the simple minds of the viewers.

As a opinion from a viewer perspective as myself I wonder why they didn’t have sex ? That would make the atmosphere more real and give a tone of maturity to the show. Otherwise is just teasing and only give a boner and halfway hopes for the viewers.

Characters 1/10
We have a diversity of characters and hentai stereotypes characters all across the show. This is practically a harem in a post apocalyptic scenery and the boob size is what makes the characters unique traits. Also we have fanservice , why not and bath scenes and the transition between fights and the fanservice is a mess. I am also wondering how a bunch of high school students can fire arms and fight like professional killers.The logic behind their actions is full of plot holes.

Takashi the main character who has a lot of plot armor. Why because with only a simple advice he became a expert in weapons and his accuracy in killing a target, even most of the assassins who trained are jealous. A lot of plot conveniences for him and across the story for other characters he interacts.

Rei is just a doll who can only depend on guys and cant take a proper decision the whole show. Her boobs are more interesting than her character.

Saya a typical tsundere and a cliché stereotype this show uses , she is annoying and again her boob size is ridiculous , about her influence she has a late development in the last episodes where she decides to help the group and we found something about her story.

Saeko this is a 180* turn of personality character who enjoys killing and gets wet after that. This is clearly the worst possible character this show could came up with her purpose is as a plot device to kill zombies when the situation becomes dire.

The only decent character is that gun maniac who acts as a normal person in this situation and gives a tone of comedy to the show.

Animation 7/10
Those boobs camera angles are fascinating and the way they avoid the bullets at the last seconds is pure matrix bullshit(a fact) . Also the fanservice is more focused than the characters. Beautifull colors, useless killing and boners delivered to the viewers.

Sound 4/10
The opening song is the only good thing this anime has.

Why would I enjoy a show that is supposed to deliver suspense and thriller and fails in that concept and everything turns into a hentai where teasing and characters interaction give me a boner. Also the boob size is over normal common sense and logic.

Overall 2/10
If you want to see badass fights with no logic or explication , matrix boobs , characters who have 180* turn change, teasing, panty shoots , more boobs , bath scenes , this anime is perfect to get you a fine boner. Otherwise if you are looking for a story and characters with a decent plot don’t bother you will waste your time and will get only a halfway boner.
