Review of School Days
(CONTAINS SPOILERS) School Days. What a great name to cover how "innocent" this anime is. At first, yes I thought it's about a romance school life, having a love-traingle and stuff. But no, this anime should've changed its name for a better revision or at least it's better to put psychology genre in this anime instead of just drama, harem, romance. This anime is actually bad in a lot of ways but I still love how the drama goes, except that the drama is way too much for my heart to bear. We always see in a romance anime, they always have this kind of format: acool, handsome, caring main character, a stupid, playboy best friend and other girls with their own traits, but not for this one. I really hate the main character and I feel like if I ever meet the main character, before those girls were hurt and stuff, I'd beat his sorry ass quickly. Also, unexpectedly, this anime is actually came out from an adult game, which explain some sex scenes. But still, I feel like the main character is the stupidest, way worst than trash, nope he gone way more down than worst or trash. I love some music that were used in this anime like "Namida no Riyuu" and "Anata ga Inai".
To be honest, I'm still feeling traumatized with the ending. I mean yeah sure he got what he deserved but do this anime really need to make it in a harrowing way? I mean, the main character was stabbed a lot of times and his face goes like a guy going through a torture instead. After the main character died, the girls killed each other and I was like, "Whoa, girls can be scary".
I always thought being in a relationship with someone that you fall in love with is sweet, cute and happy all the time but, thanks to this anime unfortunately, I feel relieved that I'm not in any relationship right now, enjoying being single. Yeah, as a guy I do feel jealous of my friends having a relationship right now. But still, thank God I'm not that guy in the anime. No wonder this anime didn't really get a hit because of the anime itself. I think that the maker of this anime purposely make this anime this way so that us viewers, nope, others will take the morale from this anime. Yeah, feelings, trusts, hearts can really affects someones' lives in a huge way until they don't feel like living anymore. Like a certain character gone insane because the main character dumps her.
Then again, despite how bad this anime was, I gotta admit, I was really really curious where did the maker of this anime get the story and plot. I mean, this wasn't done by just thinking and writing it down, no. Yet again, in my country this actually happens in real life, where only this one goes with the girl got killed. I don't know the details that much but what I know, that girl was killed by 3 guys beating her up then one of them hit her with a solid brick directly to her head and splat! Blood was everywhere. I believe their story is pretty much the same in the anime only that maybe the girl was cheating with those guys.
Overall, I would like to recommend this anime to delinquents that actually falls in love with each other like this anime would or any other couples in school that actually has the same story as this anime. But still, even though this anime was a bad anime, I'd say I learned a lot from this.
