Review of School Days

This show isn't well written by really any means. The characters are shallow and illogical. What this show is, is entertaining. This has to be the first anime I've watched where things don't work out for anyone/everyone gets screwed over in some way. I feel bad for Kotonoha but everyone else is actual trash. The subplots were awful. You really only care about following the main 3 and seeing any extra investment feels contrived and like you wasted time. Makoto is the worst but that's what makes this show that much funnier, especially once we get to episode 11 and he's somehow thetalk of the town.

If we're judging on actual substance, this is a 3/4

but hey, if you crave drama, this is pretty fun, albeit nonsensical.

And then there's that last episode which, if you really didn't hear anything about this show, would be an absolute mindblower.

Honestly, now I'm just wondering if there is a well written anime rom drama that isn't complete smut with actual likable characters
