Review of Durarara!!

The first time I watched the anime I could not get pass the 2nd episode. However, I had known for awhile that this is one of those anime that many people will recommend. To appreciate this anime, I would say you have to go through about 5 episodes. I love the mysteries and the twists in this story and best of all I like the re-occurring theme about how things may not be as simple. The story is so well written - in a literature sense. You need to like anime which shows different POVs. This is not a very straightforward anime so you mightwant to avoid this if you are looking for a light anime - despite it seeming to be so. This is definitely not a slice of life anime.
