Review of Bakemonogatari
Bakemonogatari is an interesting anime. Its aesthetics, its visual style, character designs are quite strange and it takes time to get used to it with all the black (when the Point Of View character blinks), white (when parts of light novel are omitted), and red scenes (when the POV character blinks when having strong emotions), tons of very fast changing writings that you can gain information if you freeze the video but not lose anything from the narrative if you don't, interesting angles of capturing the scene and so on. Moreover, I couldn't find a connection with the main character Araragi-kun for the first 10 episodes, however the plots made me keep watching it. Yet, after all the major characters are introduced and three mysteries solved, the series took off - Araragi became a real 3 dimensional character, the story became not a series of mysteries to be solved and "aberrations" to be helped but a real narrative, and the episodes 11 through 15 were excellent in every way. We can separate the first 10 episodes and last 5 episodes as 7 out of then and 9 out of ten, respectively.
