Review of ReLIFE
*No spoilers, but I apologise ahead of time if something slipped out without me seeing it!* :P ReLIFE is one of those animes/manga's that show off character depth and back-stories while keeping it moving at the same time. What throws this show off from others of this season is it's concept. The main concept is about giving someone a pill turning their appearance back to that of a 17 year old and having them go back to highschool. The program is supposedly suppose to help him find out what he is lacking to get overall happiness in life. Before the season came out I was iffy onit because I thought it would just be a episodic show about a guy finding happiness, but I was really caught off guard on how the story itself kept you wrapped around it's finger the hole time. All the twist and turns with the character personalities mixing and colliding.
Without telling you all the full story I'll rate it down for you.
Story: 8
Art: 8
The art was nice, nothing "groundbreaking" but it had above average art for romance animes. However of course there are a lot better, but definitely a lot worse.
Sounds: 8
Not much I really can say about the sounds, the VA's sound fitting, as well as the SFX/music going with it. Including the intro
Character: 9
The way you see the progress with the characters was really good, I enjoyed seeing them change through the series and seeing the differences from EP.1 to Ep.13 was amazing. The characters REALLY made the story what it was with the MC's splitting off of different personality traits and ways of thinking.
Overall Enjoyment: 9-9.5/10
I thoroughly enjoyed this anime, and I believe if you like romance, depth of characters, this anime is for you.
I bet you, while you're watching it'll make you think and ask yourself, "what should have I changed or done different back then?" I know I thought that.
