Review of Laid-Back Camp: The Movie
Brief overview: A must-watch and a very emotional masterpiece if you have seen the previous seasons. Story 9/10 This time the story still follows the previous series where they camp and do fun stuff. However, they are all grown up and have their own personal life to attend to. Throughout the story, they have a goal to build a park that is designated for campers. Many of the stories mostly focus on constructing the park and meeting old friends from high school. While at the same time there is still some educational content based on camping throughout the story. So you can expect more or lessthe same from previous seasons
Characters 10/10
So the reason why this is so emotional is mainly due to the characters. The characters you loved from the previous seasons used to be High school classmates/clubmates. However, as they grew older and matured into adulthood they started to go on their own separate lives. It is not like before they used to live with their parents and be in class together 24/7. They all have their own jobs and responsibilities and they cannot be together all the time. It is the feeling of not wanting to see your characters go because you're so used to seeing them together having fun, and doing unique camping activities but as time goes on they can't stay here forever because they have their own career. This type of emotional content is seeing people growing up and missing the old great times when they were together. Not much anime other than Mushoku Tensei and Frieren depicts this perfectly. The character showcase is at the level of Frieren but took a different approach where Frieren is more direct about time and the past but this is more indirect about time and the past. This is because in Frieren they mostly talk about it but this one shows the characters together which it brings back past memories but they never talked about it however, throughout their activities, you can see they're trying to relive their old glory days. This is really hard to show in most series and to do it correctly and perfectly.
Animation 8/10
This is more or less the same animation from the previous seasons. Not too impressive, not too bad either but suits the style and needs for the quality.
TLDR
This is a great series that talks about friendship, camping, and way of life. The characters are demonstrated in a very realistic way of day-to-day life and missing those nostalgic days of the high school youth. If you have seen the animation from he previous season than this is pretty much the same and it didn't change that much.
