Review of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind
Vento Aureo is a part i kinda both love and hate: the fact that its location is my home country Italy, and the complex stands and fights made me absolutely love it, however i also hate it because thanks to it jojo had a popularity spike so big it became mainstream, and with that the fanbase became the worst thing ever, comparable to shitholes like undertale and mha fanbases. however this hasnt anything to do with the product itself, so the rating of it is unchanged by it. Story 8: part five is in a special place, being the most "isolated" part among the first six, isolated asit doesnt have any real big connection with the others, and i think this is why the plot of it was so good: since it has almost no impact on the future parts, the story wasnt bound much, and by being free of doing basically what he wanted with it, Araki made a great story, which has its faults, but is ultimately good.
art 9: nothing much to say, part 5 is peak jojo art for the anime atm, and will be surpassed only when and if part 7 and 8 will be adapted.
sound 8: both openings are amazing, they wont get out of your head for many many months, their visuals have a lot of well done symbolism too, making those OPs the best of the anime so far.
The osts are all well done too, and we all know that the main theme is everywhere and you cant escape it.
characters 7: they arent peak characterization, but they arent bad by any means.
the only fault i can find is that some got less screentime that they should have had.
Enjoyment 8: i love this franchise, and even though i despise its fanbase, my enjoyment of the show was not hurt much by it.
overall 8: everyone that claims this is a masterpiece is delusional.
it is indeed peak jojo anime atm, but this is no masterpiece and there will never be a jojo anime that deserve to be called that until part 7 comes out
