Love at first sight 9/10 Good afternoon fellow anime viewers and fans! As of today, this will be my first review for this account. I will be reviewing the anime Dororo. What is Dororo? If you haven't watched it yet, you should, and no one can tell you otherwise. Dororo is a Japanese cartoon that had first originally aired in 1969 in Tezuka productions. To bring back one of Tezuka's classic thrillers, Mappa had started to work on putting together new and refined version of the show for all of us to enjoy. Following the story, the baseof it is a teen that was cursed as a boy, and he is in search of his body parts along with an orphan to seek his humanity.

Dipping into the peak of the story, it gave lots of lovable moments, and did a good job with the remake, but stumbled a bit in the middle. People say that it lost its potential and that the story made things up. While this may seem true for some people, it can be argued that Dororo (2019) still filled in its own void with the beautiful and engaging characters and designs. To add on to the fact, this story had some really sad and psychologically realistic key elements.

To deconstruct and compare some ideas here, there were still some elements that did not make sense. Plothole: all or nothing/human or demon? Hyakkimaru had lost everything from the curse, but to keep it discreet and almost spoiler free, I'm just going to say that it didn't make sense why he could still see the auras of life. Perhaps it came from the gods? Was it something the demons couldn't take away completely? Hyakkimaru at one point in the strange episodes grew back body parts that would have been humanly difficult to live without. Like a spine and a nose(not too difficult, but yeah) and other things that were discreetly explained. Above all else, you can feel the tragedy rise as he reaches new goals in the anime. My enjoyment for this show came from how relateable the characters were feeling.

I can also say that the sound was a banger. My favorite song is "Yamiyo" by Eve. You should check that out. Also the first song was really good for the intro.

In conclusion, once you watch Dororo, you might get hooked in if you love its theme and crave it's story. Perfect for realistic action, still includes demons, tragic and touching moments, and likeable characters. Don't let anyone manipulate your opinion out there. If you make a decision, be comfortable with it. That's all I have, and have a great day.
