Review of Astra Lost in Space
I just finished Astra Lost in Space and there is a really good core of unique story here that nails most of what it wants. While it does what its going for I wish there were a bit more risks taken and the writing to be toned down at times but I think given the short runtime and the care put into the story, you won't be wasting your time watching this. Pros I really felt that Lost in Space did a great job in two major fronts. While they made an interesting enough mystery they never forces twist after twist there was a smooth ride throughout,if any there is probably an argument that the pacing on that side of the plot might be a bit slow. But since they spread out the story that let each character have their moment, though some where really one episode then forgotten, but given they made a contained story in 12 episodes it makes sense that most would only have a few moments.
Cons
I get annoyed at the superhero level of competence children have in anime at times and the fact that their biggest "flaws" throughout the show are that they suck at talking about relationships is kind of annoying. Its not that they didn't have flaws, but none of them were really important to the story. Some of the writing is peak melodrama, like trashy soap opera bad. Also I watch most stuff in Dub acting is a bit hit or miss.
