If you didn't like Noragami, you won't like Noragami Aragoto, because it's largely similar except in terms of character development. If you were annoyed by a whiny Yukine in Noragami, well, that's been eradicated here. Story: 6 for Fair. The loose ends of Noragami's story will be tied up. I had quite a few questions from the first series, which were answered in this one. I now have questions pertaining to Noragami Aragoto, though. However, I'm sure that we're getting a third series of this. It's fairly popular and the ending made it seem as if there would be more. One of the things that frustrates me about theworld of the gods is that there seems to be an exception to everything. Every rule is set in stone, until it isn't. For example, there's no way out of the underworld except for a Vent. Oh wait, there is a way out of the underworld and the solution is conveniently something beings can access. It just seems like things fall into place way too often.

And okay, Yukine couldn't defeat one spirit, but he wielded powers that were BETTER than that? I know that this was done with Yato, but still, the logic to a lot of this series eludes me. And something was lost in translation because I don't understand how the Soul Call worked. I also don't understand why Ebisu wasn't pure of heart.

Art and Sound: both 7 for Good.

They were both good. Nothing to say here, except for the fact that I liked the song of the Opening Theme, and I liked the contrast in colour schemes between the opening and the ending.

Character: 7 for Good.

THIS is where it gets better. There's major character development here. Hiyori is growing older and she doesn't focus so inwardly. Yukine's character development is immediate, intriguing, and obvious. He does have the teenage spite and many of the same desires, but his relationship with Yato has grown.

We discover a lot about Yato and it's all pretty interesting, in my opinion at least. There's a few loose ends that I feel they will/would pick up in the third series. Yato is also developing as a god and I genuinely hoped the best for him.

One thing that frustrated me about Noragami was the constant bashing of Yato and everything he was, from the scarves he would wear to his aspirations. There's less of that here and I'm grateful for it, because the joke is old and tired and was never too funny to anyone, I imagine.

You also get a new perspective of Yato. He's a victim of gaslighting. "You're nothing, you know nothing, everyone is always going to leave you, everyone has always abandoned you." And if you thought Yato was bothersome to other characters, you can see why he would be this way. Overall, the character development is the strongest point in this season and the creators didn't try to disguise their intents.

Enjoyment: 9 for Great.

I did enjoy this series. It's addicting to watch because I always wanted to know what was going to happen next.

Overall: 8 for Very Good.

I know now what to expect from the characters and situations. I still love Yato, but I spend a lot of time trying to understand things, as well as editing my previous knowledge because there is always an exception to everything. But I recommend watching Noragami Aragoto.
