This anime is truly amazing. Melancholic, sad, comedic, with great sotry, visuals, music and characters. I picked it up by accident, but experience is great. Story: 8/10 In some strange building on an island, live immortal androgynous beings, based off gemstones. They follow a "Teacher" of sorts and fight with "lunarians" which appear from the sky from time to time and try to steal one of them.... While you dont' receive an answer to every question, the world is compelling enough, and throws many implications and hints at you, allowing you to draw your own conclusions. The story follows one long arc with events going on one after anotherin continuouty and also displays amazing character development for the main character. It ends up quite melancholic and sad in the end, and is interesting to watch:

Art: 9/10

It is one of the most beautiful CG anime I've ever seen, although the fact that they use hand-drawn backgrounds often contributes to it. In the beginning there are few rough shots with a fairly wooden animation, but as the series continue advancing forward, those problems become less and less common. The gemstones are beautifully done as well, although there are few rougher looking substances in the series, this is pretty much how CG-based anime should be done.

Sound: 6/10:
Many melancholic non intrusive tunes that contribute to the experience.

Character: 8/10:
Sympathetic characters, very believable, and amazing development of the main protagonist. Relationships, secrets and stories are hinted in very delicate manner, and aside from few more comedy oriented scenes you won't really find many stereotypes here. Very well done.

Enjoyment: 7/10;
I started watching it, put it on hold, then continued, and with time series became more and more amazing. So it was a case of slower start and show getting better and better over the time.

Overall: 8/10.

I'd dare to say this is a must see. The visuals are beautiful, characters are great, music is melancholic and soothing, and story, even though it doesn't resolve every question, is incredibly interesting. I'm glad I've stumbled into this show.
