It is my personal belief that this movie is the origin story of Gleipnir and that Gleipnir is really an AU where Muge doesn't get her body back. But then again, THAT'S JUST A THEORY, A FILM... Oh wait wrong platform. So this anime's cute. I didn't even know of its existence until it popped up on my Netflix account. I was going to watch Steins;gate but I was like, "It's just one movie, why not?". So let me tell you guys what I liked and disliked about the anime. So let's start with the positives. The protagonist looks like Claire from Gleipnir which is very scary. Iwill never look at Claire the same after watching this movie. Very disturbing on many levels. For realz though. I really like the world, they do a really good job building an interesting, cool setting that really draws the watcher in. This movie really excels in terms of story and the concept is very well thought out. It's very captivating and I think the ending is the perfect mix of realistic and emotional, unlike SOME MOVIES *ahem Tenki no Ko ahem*. The story really is its strongest point. When it comes to animation the shading is well done. The side characters are all really good too (I especially like Hinode's sister. She's best girl even if she only got 10 minutes of screen time lol).

I have a few gripes as well. The characters don't always move naturally and the FPS is trash. The soundtrack is kind of bland and the main character can be obnoxious AND SHE LOOKS WAY TOO MUCH LIKE CLAIRE. I don't really sympathize with her all that much and she is especially annoying during the first half of the movie. I like Hinode, although there are a few times where I feel like he acts really out of character and it's kind of unsettling. The evil cat guy goes from being Lawful evil to Chaotic evil which feels weird but maybe that's just because I'm a DnD nerd so I doubt anyone really cares about that. Also there was some random fly buzzing around in front of my TV when I watched this which sucked.

In the end it's a pretty good movie. It's leaning a bit more towards a seven but the faults are pretty minor, so I give it the eight. It's a cute movie, fun characters, watch it as a prequel to Gleipnir, and enjoy it! You'll probably like it :P

Sincerely,
-Kallocarina

DID I MENTION MUGE LOOKS LIKE CLAIRE?!?!?!?!?!
