Review of CHOYOYU!: High School Prodigies Have It Easy Even in Another World!
Entertaining to watch the world progress and see how everything plays out, but the characters are the most exaggeratedly talented and superficial I've ever seen. Usually in a story like this, there's one or two. Here, the entire cast has grossly overemphasized traits. They're boring as hell. Tsukasa is the Prime minister of Japan at what, 17-20? Fuck off. If it was just him it'd be okay. Boring main characters can be ignored with a good supporting cast, but sadly that's not the case here. I'm sure some people would disagree, and I can see why some people might like their over-the-top personalities, but it'snot my cup of tea. That's parody or comedy material, in which case by all means make them as dramatic as possible. I'm sure this is an overused line, but with so many Isekai you really need to do something to set them apart from the flock. Surprisingly, savants and the super talented elites are not a rarity among fictional characters.
