Review of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc
WARNING: CONTAINS SPOILERS I don’t think I’ve ever been so disappointed by an anime series. The second season of Demon Slayer started out fine, but once the fighting started, I realized that the main trio were vastly outmatched. Yet all of the main cast made it through the troubles. There were so many times a character gets skills, power, and energy boosts out of nowhere. If they needed that much plot armor, why wasn’t there an easier mission for them first? You could argue they weren’t expecting it, despite it being mentioned as a possibility multiple times. But that’s just how the direction of the storythe author wanted it to go. They are still miles ahead of me in writing a story, but I guess being able to follow up a good start of a story requires an incredible writer, much less finishing it strong. The animations and sound design were unbelievably good, as expected from ufotable, but I’m here for the story mainly. The plot was hard to bare, and the most interesting part of the series for me is the backstory of the new characters.
