Review of KonoSuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World!

Well... The prequel to Konosuba. I went in with high hopes but got dissappointed slightly (sadly) (note: I watched it with the German dub) Story/Plot: First of... yes, we are talking about Konosuba, a comedy anime with a very thin plot, but even in Konosuba terms.... this anime barely has a story. You have 3 Major points in the story which are pretty monotone, all taking place in places known from the 2 Konosuba Seasons and the Movie, so nothing new here. Although the anime manages to build the characters Megumin and Yun-Yun a little more, which is something i like to see. Humour:This is the issue with the anime, the prequel to Konosuba doesnt have enough humorous moments, really. You have a few scenes where you can notice Konosubas humour but it is pretty much absent from the anime, much to my disappointment. This would have been okay if it was a standalone anime, but we are talking about Konosuba here, you are watching it because you want to see a stupid amount of jokes, which are, as already said, not there.

Sound:

It has good sound with great songs played in the background. OP and Ending arent really my cup of tea but im sure some will like it.
(+ German Dub was well made, good job!)

Enjoyment:

Overall i did enjoy this anime, just for the wrong reasons. I wanted to like it because of humour but i liked it because of the character building.

Conclusion:

Not everyone who watched Konosuba will enjoy this anime, thats for sure. This anime is for Konusuba-Fans who want more Konosuba.

ONLY watch it if you really enjoyed Konosuba, if not, pass it on and watch something else.
