Review of Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead
This anime is so strong. Zom 100 is an anime about zombies and the end of the world, but instead of an action-oriented shonen, it's actually a slice of life anime that teaches the viewer to appreciate the little things in life. It's pretty great. You grow to love the little gang of misfits as they go on their perilous journey, learning more about themselves then the rest of the world. This anime is just unique and quirky, in that it doesn't focus on the details you would expect a zombie show to focus on. The art style isn't necessarily anything to write home about.I thought it was funny how they used rainbow colors for blood. The production is successful in its mission, though. I like when the screen zooms in on a characters face during a tense scene. These moments don't happen often, but provide a huge, heavy contrast to the happy-go-lucky nature of this anime. It might be a slice-of-life type beat, but it can stress you out and make you feel feelings.
So yeah, Zom 100 is cool. It's a slice-of-life anime disguised as a shonen, but manages to accomplish multiple achievements. Please give this a watch.
