(Spanish review below) I think Trump is very good, but its pacing is quite flawed. Personally, I liked the manga, but it didn't quite meet my expectations. It has a very good first volume that introduces the characters and their dilemmas, and a very good final volume that ties up all the plots and has a lot of plot twists. What stands out is the art. It's incredible, some of the best I've ever seen. I'm struck by how "masculine" everything is (there literally isn't a single woman in the manga), yet the character designs are so androgynous. Although vampires have been discussed extensively in fiction, Trump brings certainelements that I found very interesting: the cocoon stage, the clan, the congressmen. I found it very interesting how all of this intertwines with the ending and the different storylines; it leaves you with a feeling of satisfaction.

Now, the problem lies with the third and fourth volumes. The first introduces us to the characters, the universe, and the academy. In the second volume, the problems between Sophie (because he's a half-blood) and the pureblood vampires begin. There's a constant push and pull between Angelico's group and Sophie, and between Raphael and Sophie. There's also a subplot involving another vampire, Allen, and Professor Krauss (the creep). The problem is that the third and fourth volumes repeat these same dilemmas; the plot doesn't advance, and we don't get to know the characters any better. It's as if they copied and pasted the same volume three times. Then, in the fifth volume, everything happens at once, and there is not a satisfying development.

I really liked the ending, but it would have had more impact if the third and fourth volumes hadn't been so repetitive. Personally, I would have liked to get to know the characters better because they weren't as developed as they could have been. Certain attitudes or actions lack a deep explanation, offering only a superficial one.

Even so, I recommend it. As I said, it's interesting and the art is truly excellent.

Considero que Trump es muy bueno, pero que su ritmo falla bastante.

En lo personal, el manga me gustó, pero no llegó a cumplir mis expectativas. Tiene un muy bien primer tomo que introduce a los personajes y sus dilemas y un muy buen último tomo, que cierra todas las tramas propuestas y tiene un montón de giros en la trama.

Lo que hay que destacar es el arte. Es increíble, uno de los mejores que he visto en mi vida. Me llama la atención que todo sea tan "masculino" (literal no hay una sola mujer en el manga), pero a la vez los diseños de los personajes sean tan andróginos.

A pesar de que se ha hablado un montón sobre vampiros en la ficción, Trump aporta ciertos elementos que me parecieron muy interesantes: la fase capullo, el clan, los congresistas. Me pareció muy interesante cómo todo esto se entrelaza con el final y las diferentes tramas; te deja una sensación de satisfacción.

Ahora, el problema son el tercer y cuarto tomo. El primero nos presenta a los personajes, el universo y la academia. En el segundo comienzan los problemas entre Sophie (por ser un mestizo) y los vampiros de sangre pura. Hay un constante tira y afloja entre el grupo de Angelico y Sophie, y entre Raphael y Sophie. A su vez, hay una subtrama de otro vampiro, Allen, y el profesor Krauss (un poco perturbador). El problema es que el tercer y cuarto volumen repiten estos mismos tiras y aflojas, la trama no avanza y tampoco conocemos mejor a los personajes. Es como si hubiesen copiado y pegado el mismo tomo tres veces. Después, en el quinto tomo, todo pasa de golpe y hay un desarrollo satisfactorio.

El final me gustó mucho, pero hubiese tenido más impacto si el tercer y cuarto volumen no hubiesen sido tan repetitivos. En lo personal me hubiese gustado conocer mejor a los personajes, porque no tuvieron tanto desarrollo como podrían haberlo tenido. Y ciertas actitudes o acciones no tienen una explicación profunda, sino superficial.

Aún así, lo recomiendo. Como dije, es interesante y el arte es realmente muy bueno.
