The moral of the story: communicate The characters. The female lead, protagonist feels almost completely useless. She’s pretty incompetent. Almost nothing she’ve done was 100% based on knowledge but 10% knowledge and 90% luck. It feels like it was a reincarnation story rather than regression. For nearly a hundred chapters, the mood stays heavy and melancholic, which makes the pacing feel even slower. Moreover she’s stuck in an awkward middle ground.If she were portrayed as a child (e.g. flirting with the villain’s dad), she might at least come across as cute.
If she were a mature adult, she could carry some depth and gravitas.
But as it is, she doesn’t leave much of an impression.
The male lead is just as frustrating in a different way—he’s passive to the point of suffocating, with no assertiveness or energy whatsoever.
The internal logic is there, yes, but it doesn’t stop the characters from feeling stifling.

The art, story, directing.
That being said, the series does shine in other areas.
The art style matches the atmosphere beautifully, the emotional flow is carefully drawn out, and the overall storytelling has real pull.
The directing and composition are especially strong, making the experience surprisingly immersive.

Still, one can’t help but ask: what kind of romance fantasy waits until chapter 100 to actually get to the romance?

(And now, with chapter 129 left hanging, the series has been on hiatus for almost a full year.)

Anyways, things do start to pick up after chapter 100.
The story finally begins to move forward in a meaningful way, and it feels like the long, heavy build-up actually pays off.
In that sense, it’s worth enduring the slow pace up to that point just to see how the plot develops afterward.
