Ui x Kon is a cute series with a very youthful slow burn romance and an interesting premise. The main heroine, Ui, enrolls in a unique high school that assigns two students per dorm room, with the intention of a potential marriage once they graduate. These couples will compete for the "best couple" title and a chance to take over the company. Ui simply wants to find someone to grow close with, after being left alone by the loss of her parents. However, she is paired up with a boy named Kon, who doesn't care for the marriage—only the money involved with taking over thecompany!

Although this premise sounds eccentric and super unrealistic, this manga series becomes surprisingly wholesome and sweet. The romance is very pure and cute, and features many supporting characters with unique romantic dynamics of their own.

The maturity level of this series is definitely aimed towards a younger target audience, but I think that anyone who is looking for an easygoing and lighthearted romance may enjoy this series regardless.
