Taika's Reason · review

"I will lose everybody in the world that I loved all in one night?!", she says as her dog which killed her dad, stares at her with the same eyes of a rapist as her father. I enjoy my fair share of morally questionable art. I believe it's not the author's job to educate the readers on morality, nor to openly criticize the actions taken by the characters he brings to life. There's nothing wrong with having your characters be toxic, or disgusting, or downright demonic and not denouncing their actions. In the end, all that matters is the artistic expression and emotional punch the workdelivers, be it positive or negative.
Now then, having said that...
This horrible, disgusting fanfic stolen from the collective insanity of Tumblr has single-handedly made me resurrect to write this short review.
It is a shocking, utter failure on all fronts.
From the dialogues, to the flow of panels, to the idea behind the plot itself. To the abysmal inanities coming from the characters' mouths that are supposedly considered a "dialogue between human beings", and to the completely incompetent portrayal of but a semblance of real emotions.
This feels like a fetishistic husk that lacks even the slightest decency to be the fantasy that it wants to. Instead, it's forced into this twisted shell of a psychotic story driven by absolute delusional aliens pretending to be human characters.
Keep in mind, my score does not even stand for the moral aspects of this manga. As I stated at the beginning, I couldn't care less. What I'm grading is the end result which is exactly as pathetic as it's embarrassing.
That's all.
If you told me a human wrote this manga, I would not believe you. Then again, maybe this is some 5D chess plot that criticizes many people's obsession with their pupils, placing them on equal footing as actual humans.
And, most importantly... Remember to keep white women away from your dogs, people!
