Review of Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day
When I first decided to watch this show I had no idea what kind of emotional masterpiece I was getting into. Two nights and 6 hours of show time in total later I cried myself to sleep thinking "what j-just happened?" I figured quite a lot about myself, the thought of all that imaginary guilt that they all had because they each thought that it was their fault she died impacted me the most. The way each character evolved throughout the series was indeed a masterpiece unto itself. Every time I think about Menma a tear wells up in my eye. I can't think of anygreat way of explaining how that felt to practically have your emotions synced with the characters emotions without spoiling the ending.
But to be honest what really made the show to me was the opening theme (Aoi Shiori by Galileo Galilei), my heart sinks every time I hear that song in my headphones. All in all I rate 10/10 for amazing music, perfect story execution and just plain beautiful! You haven't watched anime if you haven't watched this show.
