Review of Shakugan no Shana: Season I

Ok, This was the start on my quest of what would become my favourite anime of all time. We're thrown in straight away to the scene where the Flaming Haired, Blazing Eyed Hunter, Shana is fighting the enemy known as Crimson Denizens. So I thought, hmm, Standard affair. Main character is shown fighting. Then Shana drops the bombshell that Yuuji Sakai, the male lead is dead. I started laughing thinking like we're in the beginning of the series and he's already dead, how does that work? From there we find out about the Midnight Lost Child treasure tool and how it lets Yuuji live eternally andmore. A great start to the series showing how Yuuji finally understands the struggle between Flame Haze (what Shana and many others like her are known as) and Crimson Denizen.
