Review of A Certain Magical Index

Apparently there are still people writing reviews in 2019, so why shouldn't I? As this series is getting a lot of attention with light novels getting english translations and new anime releases including a new part of the series Toaru Kagaku no Railgun T (which is soon to be released), it wouldn't be a bad idea to pick up the series. Finishing Index is pretty valuable as you will develop an understanding of a fascinating universe that is known as the Raildex series. If you can watch Index a first time, you'll enjoy it even more the second time. Story: 10 The Universe for the Raildex series isincredibly deep as it has two major factions to be explored, Science and Religion. Interactions between the two are rare and we see those rare moments in the show and it always feels special to be an onlooker to these events. In addition, this first part of the series has one of my favourite anime arcs of all time, the Sisters arc.

Art: 7
The art style is nice, but this show has aged. The quality is as good as the newest installments to the series, but the good art style remains the same and has carried over.

Sound: 9
Very nice! They aren't masterpieces, but the soundtracks are good enough for me to want to search them out, here's my favourite:

Character: 10
The characters from this show are FANTASTIC! They have some of the best growth I've ever seen and I'm not going to say anything to spoil it, but let's just say the characters in the Sisters arc are some of my favourite anime characters.

Enjoyment: 8
On my first watch it was roughly a 7, give or take, since it is the first part of the series the lore does get forcefed to you a bit, but on a rewatch it's easier to stomach and I'm glad I got through it. The fights are good and some of the fluff in between serious moments always makes me smile.

Watch it. It's good.
