Review of High School DxD

Before continuing any further into this review,I would like to state that I am a female and that while this anime may be intended for a male audience,females can enjoy it as well if they don't mind ecchi. Ill begin the review now,this anime is actually how I got interested in ecchi. I think this is a great introduction to ecchi,as it has a good plot and the characters aren't bad at all,although this anime might scare people away from ecchi,it definitely isn't doesn't lacking in well done fan service scenes. Story:I really enjoyed the story,it is much better than that of many other ecchi outthere. The story got me watching at the beginning,and kept me coming back. The fan service was like an added bonus that made this anime that much better. High School DxD is known for being an ecchi anime with a plot other than "plot",and it really doesn't leave much to be desired (except for another season,but oh look,we already have that!). I give it a 9/10

Art:I enjoyed the art and liked how the characters and settings looked. Good art is,in my opinion,kind of a necessity for any ecchi anime worth watching. I really liked the fight scenes and "plot" scenes in particular,although it wasn't truly outstanding. I give it a 8/10

Sound:There isn't really much to say here,but I liked the voice acting,it really seemed to fit the characters and settings. (I watched the subbed version,so it's with the Japanese voice acting). I give it a 8/10

Characters:Here's where most ecchi anime are really lacking,but not High School DxD. While the characters weren't as great as they could've been,they were still enjoyable. The main character isn't overpowered and not all the girls fall for him,he sometimes needs to be saved. The girls all actually have personalities,which is nice to see in an ecchi anime,that aren't limited to cookie cutter tsundere,yandere,dandere,and all the other dere's. I give it a 7/10

Enjoyment:I really,really,enjoyed this. It was amazing,it kept me coming back for more,and generally just made me glad I had time to watch it. I give this a 10/10.

Overall:I enjoyed it a lot,and I recommend it to anyone who is looking for an ecchi with a plot,good characters,a bit of an actual love story,and plenty of "plot". I give it a 9/10
