Review of Sword Art Online

Sword Art Online - The series that had the potential, but just put it in the wrong place. As you can see, I did give this a rating of a 9/10, however, that rating only extends to 3/4 of the first season. After that, the series goes down a complete hole and utterly destroys itself. With that said, I'll write my review based on only the first 3/4s of the first season. My rating for all episodes after that would be a 7.5/10. The artwork is beautiful, the scenery is amazing, and the soundtrack is epic. Everything about this anime is exactly what a gamer wouldknow and feel about. There are several epic moments in every episode that makes the view jump out of their seat and scream while rooting for the protagonist and the story fits everything perfectly.

The only slight problem with this anime is that it 'fast forwards' itself, having multiple time lapses of 1-2 months leaving the view confused about the story. That doesn't bring the rating down as everything else is nearly perfect but the developers could have made each episode much more thorough and well made.

Overall, I would recommend this to anyone looking to watch an 'Epic' anime similar to that of Code Geass, Death Note, Mirai Nikki, Steins;Gate, etc.

I do warn you though that near the end of the first season, everything goes haywire and the series won't much enjoyable by then as the story gets confusing. 9/10
