Review of Samurai Champloo
I loved Samurai Champloo and found it very emotional and nostalgic. It tells about the journey of Jin, Mugen and Fuu throughout a quite violent Japan of the Edo period, and it does it beautifully, with a nice characterization of its unforgettable protagonists, great sword fights, an amazing soundtrack, a pleasant visual art and the occasional inclusion of some cool modern anachronistic elements. In addition, the language used, funny and fierce at the same time, managed to give to this anime an extra gear, while the soundtrack in particular, deserves some words apart, as it’s often considered the best of its genre thanks to sometalents like Nujabes, Minmi and Shing02.
This is one of the rare times I never skipped both the opening and the ending themes for how much I loved them (Battlecry and Shiki no Uta). I can only recommend very much Samurai Champloo. Thanks for reading me!
