Naruto the Movie 3: Guardians of the Crescent Moon Kingdom · review
I watched the third Naruto film having watched the anime series. The first half hour was basically plotless, and when plot did develop it was unintresting. However, I would say this film was really saved by the art. The graphics in this film were outstanding for a Naruto production. I sometimes paused the movie just to look at the outside imagery of the sunset or whatnot, it really suprised me. The sound was also unexpectedly good, it wasn't the music used but more the way they used it, the timings were spot on and I liked when they paused the sound once in a while tocreate a dramatic effect.
Another positive thing to mention was the fight scenes. I really enjoyed them, I liked the wide range of jutsu's and the quick movements, it made everything fast paced and exciting. You don't need good plot to have good action scenes and this film is an example of that.
I guess, a part of me gave this a 7 because it had a lot Kakashi Hatake and I just love that man (I'm only human) so maybe I'm a little biased too. It's not a great movie by any means but it did manage to kill of some spare time.
