Review of Ghost Stories

What can I say about this series, specifically the dub, that folks haven’t already repeated ad nauseum? Well from watching the full series and not watching clips, I did sort of realize a few things which was the comedy mostly still holds up in context of the series but instead of the full blown laughter out of context snippets might illicit, it’s a lot more slight chuckles and consistent character work. There is a consistency to the tone the dub has that feels more like a horror comedy than a parody. The animation for the series is actually also fairly good for the time aswell. Major issues might just be that this thing is incredibly dated in terms of culture and characters and the comedy is still so much funnier when isolated outside the larger narrative of the series. Still maybe worth a watch but by no means mandatory viewing, especially for those familiar with compilations on YouTube.
