I started off liking this series. While it was cliche at times, being a typical slow burn high school romance, it was still a good read with well rounded characters, but the introduction of a 26 year old man as the Ex boyfriend of a high-school student compelled me to drop the series. If it were played for drama, I might have been able to tolerate it, but its presentation as perfectly normal and acceptable made the entire story feel gross to me. As a gay man, it struck me as a revival of the idea of gays as pedophile and it was something Icould not tolerate or move past.
