Horimiya · review
This is an adorable and funny manga that I just happened upon on a manga site one day and decided to start. Its nothing to rave about since its chapters are pretty short and the story is nothing too out of the ordinary, but somehow its still something special. Story-9: I like the storyline and the plot, even though its been done before and its simple, it fits well with the style of the author, and it flows. Hori is pretty popular, and Miyamura, well, isn't. But they cross paths when both of their secrets are out in the open, and slowly their lives begin tochange. There's romance, comedy, drama, and they all make for a great read.
Art-8: The manga is well drawn, there really isnt much to it to be honest, but for a simple manga, its just right. No complicated looking characters, no weird backgrounds, just simple.
Character-9: I actually really like the characters in Horimiya, I think they make the manga. Theyre a little quirky, a little awkward, and a little funny. They have different backgrounds but they are just normal school kids.
Enjoyment-9: I actually really enjoyed this manga. no matter how simple the story may be, I was still hoping to read more. It was very interesting, and im still currently waiting for updates!
Overall-8: I guess it seems like I didnt say much good about this manga, but im still telling you it was a good read :) if your bored pick it up! Its not so typical shoujo after all, I think its pretty great!
