The nature of this series seems to be a mixed bag. You're not going to be sure what you're going to get, except that the target audience is unambiguously children, and the animation and design is going to be stellar. The second episode is fantastic, and if more of the series is like this - emulating the obvious success of Studio Colorido's Pokémon short films - then I'm going to love this series. Although episode 1 might turn some people off due to its dated style, I can appreciate that it did something different with the Pokémon brand, letting the team of animators really havefun with the new project. Getting episode 2 alone is a treasure and makes me very optimistic of the future of these shorts.
