This is one of the dumbest manga I've ever read. The premise is intriguing in the abstract, but everything about this world and its characters is so paper thin, bland, and stunningly stupid that all I can do is laugh at it. We the readers are expected to take it for granted that the main character's society can run entirely off the rules of the town from Footloose. They're simultaneously smart enough to hold their entire population in tight thought control, but also stupid enough to straight-up tell their next political pawn to his face exactly how miserable his life working for them is goingto be. Although, the school colony isn't any smarter, and every country we hear about is just as one-note and indistinct as the "art bad" one. It remains to be seen whether this series will last long enough to be a so-bad-it's-good series (which would make it funnier than 2/3s of comedy manga that come out of Jump), but I'm holding out hope. Don't go in expecting a legitimately cool sci-fi, you'll be disappointed.
