I am indeed a sucker for the fluffy stuff. Everything that I have been looking for in a yuri manga is here. Older characters that make you feel giddy with every small step they take to not only bettering themselves, but making them feel good about themselves is always a lovely sight to witness. I think schwinn did a fantastic job in portraying the melancholy and freedom that comes with growing older, and that the restrictions of what is typically assigned to a woman as they age is a falsehood that only limits ourselves. There is peace in the shedding of societal expectation for thepursuit of happiness because after years of strife and repression, that might be what one needs. That's how I see it when I read through Hanayo's backstory. When she gets into make-up and fashion, she's allowing herself to be free. And she also gets to hang out with a pretty woman! And school! Honestly, Hana Monogatari is inspiring. I've only read the most recent translated chapter, and I crave more!

We live in a society and all that. I'm going on a tangent. Anyways, please read this manga if you've been craving old woman yuri because I have. Truly, this is a lovely work, and it deserves more attention.
