Review of Parasyte: The Maxim
Beautifully orchestrated. The show shares with you the possible reality of the introduction of an invasive virus, or parasite. The show dances around the topic of life just enough to grab the attention of people with several different views on the subject before coming to a conclusion that some of you will find either deeply philosophical or simply common sense. The first couple episodes are a bit stretched as the show tries to fit in the results this new threat poses to humanity. But by the third episode and so on, well, let's just say you better not have work or school in the morning. This wasa great anime to wait for it's completion for a full marathon.
My only complaint is that they should have put far more effort into the action scenes. Sure, they were still pretty epic for the style the director seemed to be going for, but the Dragon Ball Z, too fast to see, fighting style isn't as fun as it was back when I was a kid.
As a sidenote: About the soundtrack, I hate dubstep, vehemently so, but this anime used it so beautifully that I couldn't complain in the slightest. An intense scene crops up, the intensity reaches a climax, and then the climax is extended when Skrillex drops the bass. The blood starts pumping and shiver runs down my spine as I realize s*** just got real.
