Review of A Lull in the Sea

At first time before watching this Anime I thought it would be a good fun romance fantasy, judging by how interesting the story was set up. But then I suddenly brought down by how poor the story is. Even at the first arc about problem of The Surface people and The Sea people that hating each other without a good explanation. I mean, they not really different at all and there's not even a good conflict to make everyone hating each other. Oh? About the surface people that keep taking away those Sea chicks? If only about that then that's just really childist even later throughout itexplained in the later episode.

About the sea environment I just don't understand about their intention, if it's about human body it still understandable, but the sea life? Is it the fantasy that this anime intended? Because if it doesn't then it's just so horribly wrong. Like how well people can walk under the sea just like walking on the ground? No floating or swimming around at all? Even they eat normally. Also I really don't understand about those kids backstory in sea school.They only talked about past memories but later then it's just abandoned and just left a lot of hole. Where's the other kids go? Go to the surface? If they all going to the surface school it not gonna shocks the other kids right? Nothing make sense anymore.
This can be more even interesting but if this their 'Fantasy' I don't have a words.

Romance is also pointless and just rambling around. And characters and its development is bad. I excepting Kaname. Why? Because he is the one that I think still have a sense. I understand if they still shy about talking about it when it still around the first episode.. But episode by episode goes they still shy? they still can't expressing feeling toward each other honestly? The ending is so bothering me. It even told by Kaname, 'Why you just be honest and tell it straightforwardly?' If they (Manaka and Hikari) really does that... This anime can fit into 12 episodes only.

This anime is just left a lot of plot hole. For a romance fantasy anime. I don't know why this get so much rating... I only admire about the Art and Music.
I watched this till the very end only to satisfy my curiosity about how it end and it worsen my first impression about this anime.
