Review of The King's Avatar
This anime is a Chinese production and my first view of one as well so I am a fresh set of eyes on this type of production. To get a couple of the obvious things out of the way. This is not an SAO clone! This is not a harem! So if your're expecting that kind of thing look elsewhere. With that being said. I thought this anime was pretty cool it delves into the life of a pro-player being kicked from his team and his silent struggle as he pushes to continue to play the game that he loves so much. There is alot of subtle emotion, and the art style is pretty nice.
There is a bit of gripe here from me about the limited setting, most of the anime takes place in game or at the internet cafe and I kind of wish that the protagonist traveled a bit. Because of that it got a little boring towards the end for me because of looking at the same scenery.
Aside from that I think it's a good watch.
