Review of My First Girlfriend is a Gal

I don't know why everyone rates this anime so low but it's not really that crap for me.. I can say that this anime is almost decent except for some elements in it. If you take a look at my anime list, you can say that I have seen a lot of romance anime and other things related to this genre. When this anime was announced a few months ago, I got curious about its plot. (Yes.. the plot.. not the PLOT.) At first I was expecting this anime to have a gutless main character who only has luck going for him. Well.. but that'snot all that there is for him. The plot as I have seen it.. yes.. there is plenty of PLOT for this plot so if you happen to be into that sort of thing, yeah you can disregard the plot. One of the particular things that didn't make me give this anime a higher rating is how I was so crept out by one of the characters. Like.. the anime could've been so much better if they just take him out of the story. It just feels weird that he stands out and does something that not related to the plot. Though I suppose he might be there for the comic relief but I think the anime itself has a lot of comedy even without that character. I mean.. wtf.. what he kept thinking for the whole lot of the season was the same damn thing. I think he even stands out way more than the main character. I'm not going to say any spoilers about what his "creepiness" is about but let me give you a hint. (Hajimete no Gal is not suitable for "very young" audiences.) I hope you get what I mean but if not, just see for yourself. Back to the main topic.. this anime is indeed cliche and your expectations may be spot on, but you might be surprised about some things and give you unexpected reactions. Most people who have seen this anime thought of it as garbage and perhaps one of the worst anime that they have seen. I don't see this one as complete trash because I think each anime has its own uniqueness even if it's a parody. You should watch this if you happen to have plans or continue it if you dropped it. However, I do not guarantee enjoyment because I may have not enjoyed it totally. Still, my curiosity got satisfied and I hope yours will be too.

Story 9/10: Everything might go well for a High-School virgin who thinks he might get a girlfriend easier in high school.. however.. will that be the case?

Art 10/10: The Art style is promising and it is how it is on covers and previews. I recommend uncensored but watch at your own risk.

Character 7/10: So may weird things about their physical appearances. Their personalities are however, not that unique. The main character had a bit of development at least.

Enjoyment 7/10: Weee!!! Happy endings. Well what do you expect from an anime with comedy?

Overall 8/10: I don't think it deserves a full 10. It's not just that creepy supporting character that got me sick but it might be the cringe.

Hajimete no Gal was not that trashy for me. I hope you won't get disappointed after watching it.
