Review of The Rising of the Shield Hero
After the massive disappointment that Sword Art Online was (as well as the many plethoras of copy-cats that soon followed) I can boldly say that for one of the first times in years we have a genuinely competent Isekai. - Characters behave (somewhat) reasonably and believably to their situation. - The plot is (somewhat) unique and engaging. - The sound design is (somewhat) good. The only thing that puts me off from rating it higher is that the animation quality is a bit haphazard and the story needs a bit of improvement.I'd like to see the cast evolve more and potentially expand, maybe have some feathered companions replaced.
I see a lot of potential I this and I'm genuinely excited about where it goes for season 2.
I really pray that this series gets the opportunity to improve,
