Review of Steins;Gate 0
The traversal theory described by Stein;Gate is one of the most complete and impeccable in the animations, games, and movies I have seen. On top of this, with a good plot, Stein;Gate has become one of my favorite anime. As the sequel(or branch line), the story in Stein;Gate 0 can be said to be comparable to Stein;Gate. If the story of Stein;Gate focuses on the interpretation and understanding of the theory of crossing and karma, 0 is focused on philosophy and psychological salvation. The play starts from the first episode, and there is suspense at the end of each episode. Compared to the first season, the pace is better. The pace and performance of ep 16 are close to perfect. 0 also provides an opportunity to re-understand those characters who did not have much role in the first season or who are not liked by the audience. However, the problem within the first season is still there. The unnecessary fanservice, some characters are not that useful to the plot, and the performance and ep 18 are somewhat poor.
This show is not better than Stein;Gate for sure, but it's still a great anime nonetheless.
