Fire fighters who fight fire with fire. Now that's awesome. Fire Force captures everything great about shonen: epic fight scenes, well-rounded and interesting characters, great drama, fun comedy, the desire to become stronger, and some of the most interesting world-building I've ever seen. I never knew just how many ways fire can be used and each time I see a pyrokinetic in action, I could never doubt that their powers and fighting style is a reflection of who they are as people. Company 8 is a group filled with very-likeable characters who both stick to and subvert their assigned archetypes. Shinra, in particular, surprised me as themain lead. At a glance, he seemed like one of those hotheaded shonen heroes but watching him throughout made me realize that he's a lot more complex than I thought he would be. His drive to become a hero is also inspiring as instead of fearing the flames that ruined his life, he used the flames to become a hero who would save others.

The world building is also cool, using fire as a motif of duality. The artwork and animation are superb (especially the fight scenes) and the OST is great. The two OPs in particular really match the show's themes.

Overall, Fire Force is a show you shouldn't miss. You won't regret it.
