I'm used to the trap of anime movies made from TV series' not really feeling like movies, and instead feeling like extended TV quality episodes. Surprisingly, that wasn't what this film felt like. It genuinely has a lot of moments that feel beyond what the show has given us direction and animation wise, even if the digital smoke looks eh at times. There's a lot of dutch angles, so this film is bound to turn some heads, literally and figuratively. I won't spoil anything, but I do feel like this film has compelling drama and keeps the spirit of the TV show alive, whilst havinga great new cast that is pretty engaging and fun too. It's a worthwhile movie to watch, but it won't be required until later in the series, with more seasons for this show. Still, worth your time if you like this series and wanted to see a film with similar drama and energy, with it definitively feeling like a film production.
