Review of Ya Boy Kongming!
Paripi Koumei is one of those hidden gems that only some people have watched, but I'm sure that as time goes on, it'll get the attention it deserves. STORY: 8 The story revolves around Eiko, a girl who wants to become a singer, and the famous tactician Kongming. He's reborn in our era and he decides to help Eiko in her journey by using all sorts of tecniques invented by him in his other life. ART: 7 The art is good and the characters are nice but overall, nothing special. SOUND: 9 Probably the most important thing about this show, the music is really good, and I'm not talking about the OPand the ED (Both amazing), I'm talking about the songs in the show itself.
There are rap battles and other really good songs.
The ones that Eiko sings are kinda repetitive after some time but overall there's a good amount of songs.
CHARACTER: 8
In this season the story revolves around Eiko, Kabe and Nanami.
They all get a nice amount of screentime and we get to see their story and problems.
We don't see much about Kongming though, I mean, after some episodes he looks like a supporting character and not a main one.
We still see all of his tecniques but he spends less time on the screen.
ENJOYMENT: 8
Overall, it's a pretty good show, especially the last two episodes.
It's not a "musical" but a story about music.
They don't start singing at random moments like in Disney movies and that's probably why I liked it when I first saw it.
I honestly hope that we'll get a season 2, because the story isn't over yet and I'm interested to see how's it gonna continue.
Well, the las thing that I can say is that you should give it a try, even if the music genre isn't your favourite there's surely something you'll like.
