Review of [Oshi No Ko]

On paper, this is a questionable show. Idols, showbiz, and simping are offputting and lame, and the show feels like it was written by a strange and disturbed person, but this show was so oddly gripping that you can look past that. It may be perfectly refined soap opera trash tv. It may be that my brain has rotted from years of watching copy+paste slice of life shows that anything with a continuous plotline feels like fine art. Either way, the show will make a bored anime fan feel something new, and bring back that old feeling of wanting to see what happens next.
