I honestly think the average score of 5.8 doesn’t represent this anime fairly. Mob kara Hajimaru Tansaku Eiyuutan is much better than that. The story isn’t groundbreaking, but it’s executed really well. It follows a familiar setup for fantasy adventure shows, yet it feels refreshing thanks to the pacing and how the main character grows throughout the journey. The art style fits the story nicely simple but expressive, with good animation in the key moments. The characters are likeable and have both strengths and weaknesses that make them feel real. They don’t act overly smart or dumb, and their reactions make sense in the context of what’s happening around them. Overall,it’s an enjoyable anime that flows at a great pace.
If you like fantasy adventure anime with decent character development and a smooth story, I think you’ll have a good time watching it. I really hope it gets another season it deserves one.
