Review of Scissor Seven: Xuanwu Kingdom Chapter
For sure more consistent than the previous seasons. I got a little worried when it seemed like they would just have random episodes that don't move the plot forward, but they get into a good amount of plot this season. The downside is it doesn't really have the highs of the previous seasons. The animation is still not great, but nothing as bad as season 2. It's got charm, and it does it's job. You still get lots of time with likeable characters. The main thing I dislike in this season is the fights. There's more of them, which isn't bad, but a lot of them, especially important ones, always seem to fall into the same tropes. Either someone comes in at the last minute, or the character just feels like winning at some point, and works through near death to win. I want the fights to be a bit more interesting.
Overall it's still got the charm it had from the previous seasons. The finalle didn't wow me as much as the previous ones did, but it was a lot more consistent throughout and I binged it all. It's a recommend from me, I'm seeing this through.
