First off, as this is studio gohands, you have undoubtedly stunning visuals and incredible over the top, balls to the walls action sequences, featuring CGDCT-esque cute girls, set to a unique post apocalyptic sci-fi setting. HOWEVER, over time, several episodes in, you begin to feel that the writers really struggled to decide what they ultimately wanted to do with the plot. This is definitely one of those shows that is a lot more style over substance; something in which a "cool thing" was thought up first before any thought was given to what kind of story or message they are trying to tell. While Idefinitely enjoyed the action scenes, the visuals, the moe cute girls slice of life moments, etc, the overall show just feels disappointing. The initial shock/twist set up ultimately leads to a very underwhelming reveal, and little payoff, with a lingering question of again, what exactly were the writers trying to achieve here? Still, credit where credit is due; in terms of animation, few shows of this season can match how good some of the main fights looked and just how much budget is put into animating hair (no joke), and they ACTUALLY had the balls to stick with what they ended up writing, even if that writing is still ultimately underwhelming.
All in all, it's still quite a cut above the average low budget isekai slop that's now prevalent in every anime season, but I reckon it will be quickly forgotten with the disappointing payoff. Perhaps if it was given another cour and had more proper worldbuilding and planning put in, it would've been a smash hit; or if it played it safe with a low stakes CGDCT in a post apocalyptic setting it'd be decent comfort food moe anime at least. TL;DR, very cute girls in very cool action scenes, but with very underwhelming payoff.
