Review of Vinland Saga Season 2

Vinland Saga S2 is subject to a lot of very different opinions, but I have yet to have seen someone talk about what really bothers me about it: the pacing. It seems that every time there is a point to be made in a dialogue, the characters repeat and rephrase it just about 7 times. There are a lot of "thinking breaks" where you can appreciate the - in all fairness very beautiful - backdrops and animation but at some point it's just too much. There are just a few too many scenes where there is literally nothing happening. THIS SEASON DID NOT NEED TO HAVE24 EPISODES.

This is exactly the kind of stuff filler episodes are for. I get why they wouldn't want fillers in between this very serious seasons episodes, but come on. At least shorten it by a bit.

I actually really enjoyed the (hotly debated) character arc. Overall: Do watch it, but prepare to skip some scenes.
