Review of Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion

I should probably warn you that this is my first review, so sorry if it's not great. TL;DR - A good show, but, in my opinion, many others I think would be better to watch. However, if this show is more your style, as it wasn't really for me, then I do recommend. Also very good cliff hanger at the end to pull you into the second season. Okay, full review now: At first, I wasn't sure whether I wanted to watch Code Geass - if I'm being honest, it's because I wasn't fond of the art style. It has grown a bit on me now though. Ithas, however, proven to be a good watch. Perhaps not the best, but good nonetheless.

I think the story is quite good. If something like this did happen, there would most likely be groups trying to cause revolution everywhere. I felt at times that some plot points were dragged on a bit, and others could have been looked at further, but that is just my personal opinion. The action scenes are quite interesting to watch, and I always enjoy seeing what Zero will come up with next, and how he will use his Geass.

At times, I found the characters' personalities a bit annoying, or frustrating. Their reasons for certain actions sometimes felt unreasonable for me, and left me wondering why they did it and where they drew certain conclusions from. I do wonder whether this is just my personal feelings coming in to play however, rather than problems with the characters themselves.

Overall, I think it was good. If I were to go back in time and choose whether to watch it, however, I probably wouldn't have. There are plenty of other shows I would have preferred to watch. I will, however, be continuing to watch the show, as there is quite a good cliff hanger at the end of season 1, which has me wanting to find out what's next. This is very important for shows with multiple seasons, and a big plus for Code Geass.
