Review of Black Lagoon
When I first watch this, I knew full well that it was not my anime. People dying constantly over many things, survival, turf wars, power, revenge, etc. But I'm glad that this anime portray a certain aspect of life even though it was indisputable brutal and blunt. Another aspect is women. While I like the female characters that are portray with strong characteristics and think for themselves (I despise them being used as fanservice or their sex appeal used as the "plot). This anime shows a different aspect, in which many of the them are just as brutal or even worse than the men in theseries.
Note if you watch the dubbed one which more accurately depicts this anime, there will be a lot of non-stop cussing, children will not be spared and the shade of grey area is made even more grey where all sorts of heinous acts occur and its hard to pinpoint who to blame whether its the character for choosing that path or the environment which molded this way. While I was not as emotionally attached to this as other anime, I have my respect for it since it portrays an aspect of life despite how grime it appears.
